Woodcraft Boise developed a Cabinet Building Certification Course for River Residents. After becoming certified, the individual has the skills necessary to start a new career path in cabinet building or other jobs that may require this knowledge base. The skills acquired can also be applied to the creation of artistic projects.


NorthWest School of Fly Fishing's Fast Track to Fly Fishing Program is designed to make an individual a successful fly angler who will know exactly how they are going to fly fish a river and what kind of fly they should use. It’s the goal of NorthWest School of Fly Fishing and the Fast Track to Fly Fishing Program to make someone a competent fly angler and fly caster, and give them the poise and confidence to fly fish any river in Idaho or Montana.


Boise Rock School is helping River Residents fulfill musical aspirations they've always had, or expand upon existing musical skills through private lessons and also by connecting them with other musicians.

Boise Rock School believes that the band setting, coupled with a strong curriculum and student-chosen songs, achieves better results than any other teaching method.

In addition to helping students achieve musical excellence more quickly, the band setting also encourages essential life skills such as group problem solving, understanding the importance of compromise and seeing firsthand the value of positive social interactions.


Boise Cities Krav Maga is phenomenal. Their Staff, instruction, programming, and ability to motivate participants to achieve their goals is second to none. They are participating in helping River residents develop self-discipline, confidence, and a passion martial arts that they can take with them throughout their lives.


Partnered staffing companies will be aware that although applicants residing at River Sober Living will often have gaps in employment due to addiction or alcoholism, they will also display a clear willingness to work, are dependable, and are interested in developing a career path or starting a new one in their process of recovery and self-sustainability. River Residents have listings of employment-resources at their disposal.
