Ping Pong Tournament and BBQ at River!

All friends, family and residents of River are welcome to enter into the tournament that takes place on our new ping pong table in the garage, the entry fee is $5 and there will be a prize for the top 3 finishers.  Be Well Housing will also be there and they are providing the Tri-Tips!  The rest of the food/drink will be potluck style.  Please let us know if you plan on being there and if you'd like to be in the tournament!

Arianne works for the Idaho Department of Administration as a Purchasing Officer of contracts and grants. She is adept as a Hiring Manager, Interviewer and she "flies" on MS Word.  She is donating a couple of hours of her time to help our Residents learn or fine-tune their Microsoft Word skills; and also to help our Residents realize their strengths, skills and experience that they may have but not realize, how to construct a proper resume, what content is relevant and how to write a killer Cover Letter!
Basic Interviewing skills and how to answer common questions will also be covered.

River is hosting a sewing and home skills seminar at our house.  Who couldn't take advantage of knowing how to repair your own clothes or even make your own with a thread and needle or sewing machine?  Ironing? Yes there is a method behind it and you will ruin clothes if you don't know the basics.  Laundry?  Yes, if you want your clothes and bedding to last and come clean, there is a method behind it.

Sober Family & Friends Potluck & Tri-Tip!!

All River Residents and any family and friends that they wish to invite are having a potluck cookout at Julia Davis park!!  We will be at the Agriculture Pavilion right next to the Boise Zoo.  We'll take a Frisbee, football and yard games with us and some charcoal!!!  River will supply a few Tri-Tips and some sodas/water and the rest is up to you and whoever you bring!!  We hope it goes without saying that this is a sober gathering!

Full Moon Hike in the Boise Mountains

Full Moon Hike in the Boise Mountains

Dress warm.  All River House Residents are welcome to join us on a full moon hike up above Camel's Back park.  We will start at the park and hike up a couple of hours and then back down.  Hydrate well, take a couple of granola bars with you and at least 2 liters of water.  The views will be amazing!
